The full DAA experience, now on web

After the astounding success of DAA Ready on iOS and Android, the full Defence Aptitude Assessment preparation experience is here on the web. Every test is finely tuned to the real DAA's conditions, built by a candidate who sat it and passed, plus a full DAA simulator — sit every section back-to-back and get a complete score breakdown showing which roles you'd qualify for, exactly like the real DAA.

Tuned to the real DAA

Every module is finely tuned to the real DAA's conditions — the same style, format and difficulty you'll face on the day.

Built by a successful candidate

Designed by someone who sat the DAA and passed — so you practise the way selection really runs, not a guess at it.

Full simulator with role eligibility

Run the whole DAA end-to-end and get a full results breakdown — including which roles you'd qualify for, exactly like the real assessment.

Full DAA Simulator

The DAA Simulator

Sit the full DAA simulator in one session — every section back-to-back, then get a complete results breakdown: your score in each section and which roles you'd qualify for, exactly like the real DAA. The scoring matrix is calibrated from 200+ analysed DAA results across the services.

On desktop we recreate true like-for-like test conditions a touchscreen simply can't — full-size displays, keyboard and mouse, the way each test actually plays.

The DAA is the single tri-service test across the RAF, Royal Navy and British Army, so the simulator suits them all — just note the pass marks differ by service and role.

Spatial Reasoning

The DAA's spatial reasoning section, in two parts run back to back. Part 1 is 2D shape assembly — join labelled pieces into the whole shape. Part 2 is 3D — match solid objects by their orientation using reference markers. It measures how accurately you can manipulate figures in your head, which weighs heavily for aircrew and technical roles.

Electrical Comprehension

The DAA's electrical comprehension section. You read simple circuit diagrams and answer questions on current, voltage, resistance and how components behave in series and parallel. It weighs most for technician and engineering roles, and assumes no prior electronics qualification — just the core principles.

Mechanical Comprehension

The DAA's mechanical comprehension section. You apply everyday physics to simple machines — levers, gears, pulleys, springs and forces — and predict what happens. It's about understanding principles, not memorising formulae, and it weighs most for technical and engineering roles.

Numerical

Numerical Reasoning

The DAA's numerical reasoning section, run as three sections back to back that step up in difficulty. Section 1 is quick mental arithmetic; Section 2 moves to fractions and simple equations; Section 3 is data interpretation — reading charts and tables and calculating from them. No calculator throughout — it rewards accuracy at speed.

Verbal

Verbal Reasoning

The DAA's verbal reasoning section — deductive puzzles, not vocabulary. You match options to a scenario, work out people's preferences, and read rules tables to reach the one correct answer. Every sitting is graded 4 easy, 4 medium and 4 hard, using only the information in front of you.

Work Rate

The DAA's work-rate section — a fast letters, numbers and pictures coding grid. You're shown a short code and pick the option that repeats it using the same grid columns in the same order, swapped for their number or picture. Every item is easy; the challenge is keeping speed and accuracy up against the clock.

“An excellent app designed to further help you prepare for the DAA and it does just that — and a big shout out to Corrie and Hamilton Technologies for going above and beyond to get my technical issues sorted out.”
Owen Rice · Google Play
“I passed my DAA and I used this app to revise for it! It was very accurate, with all tests being very similar to the real DAA questions that came up.”
Spencer Corbett · App Store
“This app helped me pass my DAA with flying colours. I'd bought the how2become DAA revision book but really preferred this app, thanks to the more realistic questions compared to the book.”
